Robert Green in number 14

Robert Green is now 14th in the WASPA ranking of October. The WASPA ranking is available from the download section of the WASPA blog at http://waspa-circuit.blogspot.com/ Hopefully there will be more australian players listed in the next few months. Please note it is easy to host WASPA tournaments as only 4 players are needed to make a tournament official.

A final for Bob Green in Stockholm

Bob Green was back in action this week-end at the WASPA tournament of Stockholm (Sweden). Only 5 players showed up but there were a lot of great games. In the first round, Bob lost to David Cremoux (France) 0-2 but beat Italy's Massimiliano Ria (1-0) and the two swedish players Lars Löfgren (4-0) and Ari Kainu (1-0). Int he final, Bob played David Cremoux again and the Frenchman won the game (2-0) to claim to title.

Fourth place for Robert Green in Stockholm

The first WASPA tournament ever in Scandinavia was held this saturday in Stockholm. It was also an historis event because it was the first tournament ever organized in Sweden. 8 players from six different nations were taking part. Marcus Tilgner (Germany) beat David Cremoux (France) in the final (1-0). Robert Green was taking part and he took the fourth place of the tournament. it was his first official tournament in many years so it is a really good performance!

The first WASPA tournament in Australia

Brett Davis has confirmed that the venue for an Australian WASPA Tournament is booked in for 1st October 2011 at MOAB (Mother of All Battles) organised by Southern Battle Gamers, Sylvania Heights Community and Youth Club - Box Road, Sylvania. NSW 2224. Brett needs to thank Kym Pennell from the Battle Gamers who allowed us to come and play at MOAB and give our great game some public view. Robert Green back in action

The recently created WASPA circuit (http://waspa-circuit.blogspot.com/) is likely to have the very first tournament ever held in Sweden. The O'Leary restaurant in Stockholm will be the place for the event held on August 21 and players from Finland are thinking to travel to play. Robert Green, who is living in Sweden for a couple of years now, might be taking part to represent Australia. He would therefore be the first Australian to play in the WASPA circuit! Well done!

New club in South Australia

Ron Shipp from Clare, SA is trying to start a new club at Penfield sports centre near the Air base. Players meet Wednesdays at 7pm, all welcome.
